This was one of the most amazing shows ever! what a night… I was 18, senior year of high school and I found out (somehow?) that Bob Dylan was gonna do a small club show the night before the big show with Joni Mitchell & Van Morrison (I already had my tickets for that one). So I jumped in the car, drove to ticketmasters main office in Vancouver and stood there until they went on sale… got my ticket, grabbed my good (but not perfect) fake ID, said a prayer and went to the club… ended up talking in line with two beautiful women who though that it was sooo cute I was going to see this show that they would make sure I got in, and I did… It was amazing, I of course didn’t have the true measure of what I was seeing, but I knew I was lucky to be experiencing it, I knew it was rare… I stood beside a pillar 15 feet from Bob Dylan, drank beer, and watched him do a 90 minute set… I skipped my first couple classes the next day.

Beck (UBC Student Rec Center, Vancouver)(02/06/97)

This one was pretty rare too… maybe 200 people in a gym, watching this guy Beck make insane awesome music… waited around after and got him to autograph my ticket and my hand… then he became Beck! … now he’s a scientologist!… ain’t life random…
Pearl Jam, Seattle! 1998! ‘cmon what is better than that? Grabbed my friend and drove down to Grandmas house… I set and met my goal of crowd surfing 3 times during ‘Jeremy.’ No mean feat in a crowd of 50 000+… I positioned myself and set up my ‘catapults’ (the two biggest guys you can find to launch you up and over) and was up in the first 10 seconds, who knows how long the ride was (time stops) but the second I went over the front, well, I stopped for a split second and looked @ Eddie 5 feet from me, then I ran! I had to go halfway down the field before I could get back into the crowd… I ran as fast as possible through the jumbled mass of humanity until it was thick enough to bear my weight, again… and up I went… crowd surfing rocks, it’s been (6?) years, but I’d do it again, totally…
Radiohead (Moist, I Mother Earth) (PNE Forum, Vancouver)

Terrible show, Thom Yorke was a dick to the crowd, played a 25min set and walked off, no encore, fuck it it’s just vancouver… bad taste in my mouth ever since… and I’ll say it, I think that Radiohead is overrated. But they are really good
The Spice Girls (Comp. Tickets ,Private Box, GM Place,Vancouver)(08/11/98)

I took my little sister to see the Spice girls, and my friend Ian took his sister (and his passes to the Intrawest suite!). We drank highballs, ordered pizza, wings, calamari, popcorn (we had the box to ourselves)… Spicetastic

My girlfriend was taking her sisters to see them so I called Ian to see if he wanted to do it again (Spice Girls was fun!). So we went back to the box for another night of drunken pop music. I found my girlfriend with the binoculars (I knew her section & seat… and so after Aaron Carter did his thing, I called her and asked her if she was having fun (she was), of course she said no, then I told her to look @ Ian’s box…;) I took four borrowed ticket stubs and brought them up to be with us… it was a good night
Page & Plant (GM Place, Vancouver)(09/05/98)

Scored 2 tickets on the floor and took Jamie, it was another one of those shows where I didn’t really understand what I was seeing… I wanted them to play stairway to heaven… they didn’t… It was still cool though, nice to have seen
